Management and employees of JSC Ukrtransnafta realizing the importance of environment protection take measures aimed at:

•    minimization of the negative impact of operational activities on the environment;
•    fulfillment of applicable regulations on environment protection;
•    permanent improvement of the environment protection activities;
•    safety of the employees and people in the area of Company’s activity;
•    emergency prevention and readiness to respond to the accidents at the Company’s facilities.

Therefore JSC Ukrtransnafta developed the Declaration on environmental policy that envisages the following:

•    to provide operational activities in accordance with all regulations and standards imposed by the national environmental legislation, to consider requirements of international environmental acts, as well as to develop and implement own environmental standards and rules complimentary to the national regulations;
•    to adhere to the Concept of sustainable development when planning business activities considering impact on the environment;
•    to work out, implement and constantly develop environment management system in accordance with ISO 14000 and other national and international requirements;
•    to minimize the probability of emergency and to be well prepared in case of possible accidents, therefore, reducing risks and scale of environment contamination;  
•    to raise environment and energy safety of oil pipeline transport by modernizing equipment, optimizing operating practice, technical investigation, diagnostics of oil-trunk pipelines and equipment installed, as well as improving environment protection technologies;
•    to implement modern environment protection and resource saving technologies as well as scientific achievements in the sphere;
•    to improve proficiency of employees in environment protection, as well as to adhere to environment protection and safety rules.
